Interparliamentary gathering of the EU improvement Committee in the light of future enlargement.

On 24 June, an interparliamentary gathering was held in the European Parliament by the Committee on Constitutional Affairs (AFCO) on "The EU improvement in the light of future enlargement". The gathering was attended by the president of the Permanent Subcommittee on the revision of the Treaties of the Commission for European Union, Mr Andrzej Grzyb, who was invited to give an introductory speech as a typical of the national parliament of the Presidency.
The aim of the gathering was to present a study on the organization implications of enlargement of the European Union, as well as to exchange views with the national parliaments of the EU associate States and candidate countries on the interior preparations and reforms essential to adapt the EU to future enlargement, in parallel with the improvement efforts of the aspiring countries. The report, written by Sandro Gozi (Renew), was accompanied by a draft EP resolution.
