The merger of China's largest shipbuilding companies
China State Shipbuilding Group corp (chin. 中国船舶工业集团公司) and China Shipbuilding manufacture corp (chin. 中国船舶重工集团公司), the 2 largest state-owned shipbuilding companies, announced that they are planning a merger that can reduce interior competition and let to make the world's largest listed ship manufacturer.
The combined assets of the merged companies are expected to scope the value of almost 400 billion RMB (approximately PLN 234 billion) and the yearly sales of the fresh company will exceed 100 billion RMB (approximately PLN 54.4 billion). The marketplace value of the shipbuilding giant is estimated at over 270 billion RMB (approximately 147 billion PLN). This 1 company will have 33% of the global market. This is the volume of orders for ships obtained by both corporations in the first half of this year.
By the way: Watching the Chinese shipbuilding manufacture for many years, until I am overwhelmed erstwhile I think about how the Polish shipyards were destroyed. So far, I can't find the reason for all these decisions.

Social Credit strategy for Foreigners on Hainan
The city of HaiKou (chin. 海口), the capital of the state – the island of HaiNan (chin. 海南), which is China's largest peculiar economical zone, introduces, as the first in the country, a credit assessment strategy for foreigners applying for a work licence and/or stay on the island.
In accordance with the guidelines, applicants for these papers will be placed on 1 of the 4 lists, after careful examination of the information submitted by the applicable authorities:
- ‘Red’,
- ‘White’,
- ‘Share’ and
- "Black".
Those on the Red List will benefit from a number of procedural facilitations and accelerated services, including:
- so-called ‘green channels’,
- ‘to get approval despite missing papers with the anticipation of subsequent completion’,
- ‘special treatment in circumstantial cases’ or
- ‘issue of permits/documents on the place without waiting’.
On the another hand, those on the Black List will not be allowed to apply for permits again for 1 year. However, in their case, it is possible to apply for removal from the list on the basis of individual circumstances. Applicants must apply to be removed from this list by providing supporting documentation and the applicable authorities, after careful examination, will decide within 7 working days.
This is seemingly insignificant information from 1 of the many thousands of cities in China. Apparently. If this pilot task succeeds, it can be expected that in 3-4 years it will be implemented successively throughout the country. Is this an introduction to the widespread usage of the Social Credit System, or is it an effort to open up to immigration? How about 2 in one?
