This prominent student was not only a logician and a logic historian, but besides a historian of ancient philosophy. His technological interests besides included Polish contemporary philosophy. The prof. besides did not avoid spreading philosophy, publishing, among others, “Radars”, Accent, “Polish Thought”, “Polish National Thought”, “Radostowa”.
I remember your prof. – inactive as an assistant at the UMCS Logic Department – erstwhile he led with us students of the first year of law, at the Faculty of Law and Administration for 2 semesters lectures and exercises. The first lecture in college was the 1 in logic, which was held in a immense hall in the Humanities building. It was a large experience to perceive to a lecture on the emergence of universities not in the “dark” centuries of the mediate Ages, the function of science, philosophy, logic and their most prominent figures. That was erstwhile I realized that I had joined the university. I liked it right away. No another lecture always made specified a powerful impression on me. The exams lasted a long time due to the fact that they were conducted very reliably. He's educated generations of lawyers for decades.
Prof. Tadeusz Kwiatkowski
In his teaching work – most likely only He – frequently referred to patriotic attitudes in our history, literature, and politics – taking the university's educational mission seriously. He was fascinated by the culture and past of Poland, and about the course of the 1939 Defence War he could tell for hours (it was later, in social conversations). It hurt very much to lose the Kresas and their powerful heritage, but he did not go there for fear that specified a journey would not be a strong shock to him... He claimed Poles in the East, to bring them from Siberia, Kazakhstan and another places of exiles and exports, to the Homeland. But the power has never had the means... She found them very quickly, but only for strangers.
He besides worked socially, engaging in social activities in the Union of Polish Teachership, so that with large sympathy the employees of the university, standing in line for help, called him – from the name of the patron of hopeless matters – Tadeusz Juda. He was a friend of his fellow men. Throughout his life, he had been friends with a friend who warned him in school times about the dangers of Stalin’s power that threatened him. During his stipend in Belgium (while inactive working on KUL), he met the outstanding logic and philosopher of the law Prof. Chaim Perelman, who was his guardian and his spouse. He was born in Warsaw, married in Lublin. Both were fascinated by Polish culture. This relationship continued for the remainder of the life of Mr Perelman. He defended the furiously attacked by the enemies of the Church by JE Archbishop Stanislaw Wielgus, and erstwhile the death of Fr.Prof. Mieczysław Albert Krąpc began, he published an extended dissertation in the diary “Rajostov” entitled “The gratitude is due, a tribute to his Masters”.
He did not share the very emotional attitude of his university environment to the arising in 1980. Solidarity is right to realize that Polish forces are behind it. erstwhile he loudly criticized the changes occurring after 1989, he became an “anti-Semite” and came to him enemies and sorrows... The communicative was circled – in his early youth he learned the taste of Ubek knut and persecution for his patriotism, and in alleged Free Poland – "kindness" of any colleagues and not only them.
Not only a large humanist, educator of youth left, but above all a very delicate and noble man.
Requiescat in pace
