We have another Pole in space. That's good. Unfortunately, watching tv broadcasts, reading texts and listening to radios, it is hard not to announcement arrogant attempts to manipulate history. He loses Sławomiz Uznański, we all lose.
Because how do you realize the message in TVN of a “wise” head who stated that Hermaszewski was the first cosmonaut, but Uznański is the first astronaut? It's better for her, but it's just a synonym, a difference in naming. The Russians in space call their people cosmonauts and the Americans astronauts. I will not compose about Cenckiewicz, due to the fact that he deserves only contempt. I know that the current rulers would like to remove General Mirosław Hermaszewski from our memory, or at least depreciate his historical feat. What arguments they wouldn't use, what manipulations they would do, it's a gene anyway. Mirosław Hermaszewski will always be the first Polish in Cosmo! And nothing's gonna change that.
The communicative of his life is as different as flying into space. We've known the General for many years. Lots of conversations, memories, dictatorships and bitter reflections. besides common trips to Poland.
I've been with him respective times in a russian soldier cemetery in Radom. He rode there all year to lay flowers and light candles on the grave of his father's companion in space flight and at the same time a friend, Ilja Klimuk.
– I can put flowers on Peter's dad's grave," he said erstwhile we were sitting in his surviving area drinking a delicate cherry. He, unfortunately, can't return the favor.
The bitter consequences of history. On the night of March 25, 26, 1943, a horde of Ukrainian criminals, armed with bars, axes, forks, scythes, chains, firearms, and anything that could not only be killed, but besides inflict as much suffering as possible, surrounded the calmly asleep Lipniki. They set fire to the buildings and started the slaughter.
Hermaszewski about the upcoming attack of the banders was warned by the neighbour, A Ukrainian, who was shortly killed savagely by his fellow countrymen. Mirk's father, along with his older sons, defended the village. A mother, with a small, fewer months of Mirk in a bee, and daughters moving through a field into the woods. They were chased by a pack of banders. I spoke to Mrs Sabina Hermaszewski. She was 5 at the time. I recorded her memories in Wołów, a town where after the war Hermaszewski settled and where Mirek graduated from advanced school.
– I was holding my mother's hand – you mentioned Sabina. - I ran my feet. I've heard the curses of banders chasing us, heard the sound of houses burning, the screams of murdered and the whistling of bullets flying. I closed my eyes and began to pray: Lord God, I do not want to be cut with an axe, make me die by a bullet.
I froze. I looked into Mrs Sabina's eyes terrified of the child's prayer. A kid dreaming of death. I forgot to turn off the camera from all this.
The kids with the parent survived. A fewer days later, his father was killed by a murderous flagstone bullet erstwhile he went to the fields to recover any of the fall sowing. He came back with a bullet in his chest. He died soon.
– I know who killed my father," said the General. I know his name.
– Who is that? – I tried to ask.
– This is not the time to talk about it – he answered. It's not time yet.
He rode respective times with his loved ones to Lipnik to the grave of the murdered. They rested in a mass grave next to the old folk house. A place sanctified with the blood of Poles indicated a mound and a commemorative plaque: "Here lies the remains of 182 innocent people".
This was inactive the case in the 1960s. 20 years later, the mound was gone.
– He said he was interfering with locals in field work – he explained. – The remains of the murdered were moved to a cemetery in close Białka.
I liked talking to the General. I liked him making his stories, liking his sense of humor and distance to himself.
I inactive have in my head his study on the exams for the school “Orląt” in Dęblin. Especially the race for a mile and a half of gravel track. They gave him no chance. And he's skinny, he's weak, but the devil's tall, he's got it and he wins. erstwhile he faced the qualifying committee, he turned from leg to leg.
– Why are you squirming? Why are you not standing at attention?! – 1 officer was agitated by approaching Mirk vigorously.
– And then he saw that my bare feet were leaking blood guardians. It impressed him. He couldn't believe I ran barefoot. I couldn't afford sneakers, and I felt sorry for my shoes. I didn't want to destruct them.

I besides attended respective meetings with the General, during which he talked about space conquest and his flight. For example, there were so many people in Kwidzyn that the immense hall was filled to the brim (norm), and the crowd was crowded in the corridor. In Frombork, I was intrigued by a group of respective simple students. They sat on the level listening to his story. Not a single girl, not a single boy, took out a cell phone. no of the children were tired, and the communicative he told before the gathering was simple. Then there was a circular of applause standing up and giving autographs. I was touched by a boy:
– I envy you this flight," he said by giving you a note asking for a dedication. I dream of going into space, but I can't. I am from a tiny village – he added quieter.
The General reacted vividly.
– I am besides from a tiny village," he said. – If you are consistent and work hard, you will realize all dream you have. Just like me.
47 years ago, on June 27, 1978, the first Pole flew into space on the ship Soyuz 30. It was Major Mirosław Hermaszewski. The flight was commanded by Piotr Klimuk. A day later, mooring with the orbital squad "Salut 6" – Soyuz 29 was performed. During the 8-day mission, 126 Earth laps were made and respective Polish records approved by the FAI were established; among others, elevation – 363 km, flight velocity – 28,000 km/h, flight duration – 190 hours 3 minutes 4 seconds, distance travelled – 5 273 257 km and others.
During the joint flight, both crews conducted a series of biological experiments, Earth reflection and polling of Northern Lights, any of which were prepared exclusively by Polish specialists. The focus was primarily, which is understandable given the phase of the conquest of the cosmos, the functioning of the human body during a long-term stay in a state of weightlessness.
Among them was an experimentation called "Syrena", consisting of a survey of the build-up of HgCdTe crystals under conditions of no gravity, a survey of the functioning of the heart during the work of a cosmonaut on a spacecraft, the physical performance of a cosmonaut immediately before and after the landing, and a survey of the intellectual aspects of crew adaptation to space flight conditions.
But not just that. Part of the investigation had a purely applicable dimension for the Polish economy, e.g. the “Earth” experiment, consisting of photographing the surface of the Earth (land and water) to survey its resources.
Mirosław Hermaszewski was 58th man in space. A lot has changed since his flight. The pioneering times of space flights, the days of the stars of the heros, have passed, drawing the attention of millions of people all over the planet surrounded by thrills.
Today, traveling to close space is routine, almost everyday. Additionally, NASA opened the global Space Station (ISS) to private passengers. Even now, any can fulfill their star dream. They'll just have adequate cash. So about $60 million, due to the fact that that's the basic cost of 1 individual on board a Crew Dragon capsule from Space X. Thus the era of space tourism was inaugurated.
Sławomi Uznański-Wiśniewski is simply a 635 individual among these elite travelers. The cost of his flight is EUR 65 million.
And that is why completing the movie about Gen. Mirosław Hermaszewski is so important. Not just about him flying into space, but about his full life. A twelve hours of unique memories, curiosities, dictatorships and a vast amount of information will fill 2 50-minute episodes of this document. In fact, he could already be on tv if it wasn't for the fact that I'm missing archival footage of his flight on the Soyuz 30 ship and being at Salut 6 station. To get the rights to usage them, 15 1000 zlotys are missing. That's why I started a collection for this purpose. If you think this is an crucial substance for us, our past and achievements of Poland, delight support this project. Her address

And 1 more thing. The title of this article, as well as the title of my movie about Gen. Mirosław Hermaszewski, is 87 sec. Question is, who knows why?
