Controlled by Republicans, the U.S. home of Representatives passed president Donald Trump's bill on Thursday night on cutting public media backing and abroad aid by US$9 billion. It was previously voted by the Senate, re-establishing the provisions on backing the HIV/Aids prevention programme. Trump accused public broadcasters, among others, of spreading "propaganda woke".
