Appeal to the fresh president
The UNAWEZA Foundation Martyna Wojciechowska does not waste time. Although Karol Nawrocki was sworn in as president only a fewer days ago, the foundation had already made an appeal to him about the bill. The appeal was posted on Instagram, signed under it by Martyna Wojciechowska and reads, among others: "I appeal to president Karol Nawrocki to retreat from the Constitutional Court and sign a bill whereby children from 13 years of age could benefit from the aid of a scientist without the consent of a legal guardian. There is inactive a chance for this much needed bill, prepared for years by specialists and advocates of children's rights. I believe that the welfare of children and young people lies at the heart of the recently sworn president of Poland".

The bill went to KT
President Andrzej Duda was not convinced whether children from the age of 13 should apply to a scientist themselves if they consider that they request it. He so referred the bill to the Constitutional Court. He explained that the kid does not have appropriate discernment in this substance and "introduces fresh regulations which are a de facto breach in the Polish strategy of household law and the model of parental power functioning in it" - we read in UNAWEZA's appeal. Now it's up to the fresh president.

Why is this bill so important?
The law would let a individual from 13 years of age to search intellectual assistance without the consent of a parent legal guardian. This would only be aid provided by specialists in NFZ offices. In specified a situation, the scientist would be obliged to immediately inform the parents or caregivers of the insignificant patient that he has come for help. "The exception is that informing parents/careers would endanger the patient's welfare. Then the scientist has the work to notify the guardian's court of the situation of the child" - we read in the aforementioned appeal.

"One signature can make a difference"
Members of the Youth Organizations Coalition "Young Asylum" besides spoke on this issue. "This is simply a change to the 21st century, erstwhile the request for intellectual support became a first-order need" - we read in another appeal. "Today's law states that young people under the age of 18 must fulfil hard formalities in the form of obtaining parental consent, which many young people in practice make it impossible to ask for help, due to fear, blockage in the head, fear of reaction" - the coalitions consider. "One signature of the president can save quite a few lives!" - they assure.
