As Prime Minister Tusk stated, Maciej Berek will play a peculiar function in the reconstructed government. He will be Minister of Supervision for the implementation of government policy. What will he do in this fresh position?
Maciej Berek will play a "special role"
– Together with Minister Berk and Minister John Grabc, the head of the law firm and a squad of people with whom we have worked so far in various places, we will build a control squad and execute what ministers have committed themselves to. There will be no translation. We will monitor and account for it on an ongoing basis," said Prime Minister Tusk.
His words indicate that Maciej Berek will play a "special role" in the government and that from his point of view "this is the key place". The Prime Minister announced that "the first effects of this 'control' will be in a period and later all quarter".
Who's Maciej Berek?
Berek is simply a doctor of legal science, legal advisor, assistant prof. at the Faculty of Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw.
From 2007 to 2015, he was president of the Government Legislative Centre, from 2008 to 2015 Secretary of the Council of Ministers. He besides worked in offices serving various constitutional public authorities from 1997 to 2020. Berek is the author of publications on constitutional law, issues of creating and announcing the law, public finances and disciplines of public finances.
