Lithuania acquired a full of 4 Bergepanzer 2 method safety wagons (although the acquisition of six was initially announced) designed to safe the PzH 2000 caterpillar cannons, which 21 purchased in 2015. In addition, it acquired 26 M5772A command cars. All these vehicles came from the Bundeswehr equipment reserve and cost Vilnius more than €58 million. In the case of Bergepanzers 2, they were to undergo not only renovation but besides modification. Their reception took place within 2 lots each. The full scope of additional work on the vehicle is not known.
