Speaker of the Sejm Simon Holovnia
Prime Minister Donald Tusk
President Andrzej Duda
Ladies and gentlemen,
We, the undersigned citizens of the Republic of Poland, in the face of increasing tensions on the global phase and the possible hazard of our country's engagement in war activities, and bearing in head the fresh statements of the talker of the Sejm of Simon Holovnia, quote: "Putina will be crushed to the ground, sooner or later, where it should be: behind bars or at the cemetery", want to express our deep conviction that any decision of a military nature aimed at involving the Armed Forces in armed conflicts is taken with full awareness of the work that specified actions carry.
Therefore, we demand, first of all, amendments to the applicable Defence work Act in specified a way that persons who are exempted from the work of active military service at the time of mobilization and war are obliged to fulfil it in a situation where they contribute to the participation of the Republic of Poland in the armed conflict by their conscious or non-conscious actions. Moreover, we request that those liable for bringing the Polish people to war cannot in any way be permitted by the Defence Act Fatherland is relieved of this obligation. The decision makers must be legally obliged to bear the full consequences of their decisions — on a par with citizens who will be expected to sacrifice their lives in the event of a declaration of mobilization or war. Furthermore, we besides want parliamentarians, parliamentarians, parliamentarians, prime ministers, ministers, judges and all who represent our Homeland at various levels to be immediately deprived of immunity for inciting the nation to participate in armed conflict and punished for betraying the Polish Nation.
We emphasise that our petition is not about promoting war or conflict, but about seeking greater work and awareness of the consequences of political decisions on national security. We believe that specified changes will contribute to a more liable policy promoting safety and peace.
We request that we consider our petition and take action to make the proposed changes to the law.
Sincerely,
Paulina Kotowska
