Former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro conspired to phase a coup after he lost the 2022 elections and knew of plans to assassinate their winner Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, according to a police study declassified Tuesday. The AP news agency has obtained recordings in which high-ranking officers of Brazil's armed forces can be heard discussing attempts to convince erstwhile president Jair Bolsonaro to phase a coup.
