At the Air Military Academy in Dęblin, a fresh training of professional sub-commissioners for chopper pilots was inaugurated. During the two-year course, pilots will exercise in the UK and the USA, among others. Undersecretary of State in the MON Stanisław Wzątek, who took part in the ceremony, stressed the importance of the course as strengthening the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland.
Launched the course is simply a fresh training program of the Military Academy aimed at the officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, who is to prepare them for service in pilot positions AH-64E Apache helicopters. The first classes begin on Monday and are qualified as 10 people selected in the selection process who met wellness and language requirements.
During the inauguration of the Deputy Minister of National Defence, the Secretary of State in the MON Stanislaw Wzątek stressed the importance of a fresh education way for the provision of highly qualified personnel, which will strengthen the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland. – Air forces request not only modern equipment today, but above all well-prepared people. Launching a sub-office course for pilot candidates is an investment in staff that will be liable for the safety of Polish airspace in the future," said the politician.
Rector-commandant of the Military Academy General Brig. pil. dr inż. Krzysztof Cur pointed out the university's leading function as an air staff training centre. The assumptions and stages of chopper training were presented by the Head of DGRSZ chopper Aviation Division Colonel Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, which stressed the importance of modern forms of education, including simulator training and e-learning. The first phase of training in LAW will last 14 months. Then the soldiers will proceed to survey in Britain and then in the United States. In total, the course will last 2 years (a full of 500 hours) and in addition to the simulator selection training and explanation will include applicable training on the R44 Robinson chopper and specialist on the AH-64E Apache helicopter.
