The people of confederate Mozambique cannot feel safe. The torrential rains and the resulting floods caused crocodiles and hippos to appear on the streets of many towns. Animals killed at least 3 people.

The crocodiles came to the cities, utilizing the floodgates of the Limpopo River and its tributaries. The authorities urge that we do not approach the standing water, where animals reside close human settlements. Limpopo National Park warns that hundreds of crocodiles and hippopotamus have overrun the banks of rivers and lagoons.

This year's flood is the most dangerous since 2000, erstwhile about 700 people died. The dense rains in Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe have caused the worst flooding in 25 years – over 100 people died and hundreds of thousands had to leave their homes. 13 people have died in Mozambique since early January.
