The Russian drones that attacked the Lviv on Tuesday hit crucial places for Poland: close the monastery of Bernards and the Historical Archive, where any of the most valuable papers for Poland are stored," said the Consul General of Poland in Lviv Marek Radziwon.
One of the drones "falled down at the Soborn Square itself, and thus virtually a fewer twelve meters from the Bernardine church and the Bernardine monastery" – the diplomat said in a telephone conversation.
He explained that the close Historical Archives of the City of Lviv gathered the most valuable manuscript and book collections.
– It is 1 of the 3 most crucial places in Lviv where the archival Polish legacy is stored – he declared.
The Consul assured that his staff were safe. “We are all in a well-protected shelter,” he said.
