Koniuszewski: 1939

On the way of alternate history, let us halt at the 1939 wartime events to see if their course could be different, if then, and earlier, the Russians did not regulation Poland.

Which means the 1926 coup would have failed. If this were the course of history, surely in the year of the outbreak of war, the national Democrats would have a crucial share in the national authorities. If it's always very risky, but let's try. So, what if? Let's make a fewer assumptions first. First of all, there would have been a war with Germany and under specified circumstances. In addition, we would be in the Western Alliance, primarily based on France.

Other solutions were not involved. The pact with Berlin governed by Hitler would be a geopolitical disaster for us. Mainly due to the fact that the Reich had this war to yet lose. In turn Poland would have ended it while maintaining statehood, but in depleted borders, without the Borders (obviously) and possibly with the border on Nysa Kłodzka and without Szczecin. At best. In turn, the alliance with Stalin was impossible in Poland, due to the fact that then there was no place in Warsaw for the power of specified a strong political formation, with specified a anticipation of pressure. So, based on these observations, we can presume that vain labor. And yet... First of all, under the regulation of any centre - right-wing block, the Republic of Poland would not be specified an anachronistic state? An army that is unmodernly managed and outdated armed. And that's command! Actually, in the September campaign, the chief of staff did not function. His function was illusory and of no fundamental importance to the run run. So what does that mean? And the fact that real resistance, with an army of strategical unity and effective defense, would last not about 3 weeks, but even 3 times longer. What does that mean? After all, it is only briefly so that it would have an impact on the course of military actions, while following them on the political situation of Poland.

But most importantly, the West could then come to the conclusion that it is essential to activate its front actions and return to talks with Moscow interrupted in August, discouraging it from complying with a pact called the Ribbentrop – Molotov system. All of this could change the image and course of the war. Of course, its final effect would be akin to that of the real 1945, but without specified a hecatomb of casualties and material losses. Finally, it is possible that Germany itself, seeing strong and effective resistance, would be willing to enter into meaningful talks with us about the end of the war, without the desire to destruct our country and only with territorial shortcomings that we could accept. This could all have happened, although of course it didn't have to. However, the basic presumption is that the participation of endeks, chadeks and folkists would liberate modernisation forces operating inside Poland and, above all, provided the army with more competent command. I believe that would happen!
