Kizilelma — unmanned breakthrough in Turkey [ANALYSIS]

The Baykar concern is associated primarily with the celebrated Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aircraft, which are used, among others, by Poland and Ukraine, but the ambitions of this Turkish maker go much further. There is already a much larger twin-engine device on offer, capable of carrying maneuvering missiles, among others, and presently the first Turkish jet unmanned aircraft with the sonorous name Kizilelma, or “Red Apple”, takes place in flight tests. Machines of this kind are not only intended to accompany the Turkish fighters of the future TF-X as a “loyal wingman”. It will besides include naval aircraft taking off from the deck of the TCG Anadolu ship, turning it into a mini-aircraft carrier.
