According to media reports, police carried out repairs in the KGB building without engaging an outside company. Cost proceedings are presently suspended. However, an anonymous officer revealed that the renovation, contrary to the claim of the formation, did not absorb many million zlotys.

On 14 December last year at 7:50 p.m., there was an detonation of a grenade launcher in a area adjacent to the Chief of Police's office at the KGB headquarters. The Interior Ministry stated that the origin of the detonation was "one of the gifts" received by Gen. Jarosław Szymczyk during his business visit to Ukraine, where he met with representatives of the Ukrainian police and emergency services.

The detonation caused harm on 2 floors at the KGB headquarters. Gen. Szymczyk suffered wounds and lost his proceeding for respective hours. besides a civilian KGP worker on the lower level suffered injuries as pieces of the ceiling fell on him. However, information from the KGB indicates that there were no structural harm to the building, only elements filling the ceiling. The reconstruction and renovation work was carried out on its own, as confirmed by an anonymous officer from the vicinity of the head of the KGB during the conversation with Onet.

In fact, the harm was tiny and was done with its own sumptum. No outside company was hired for this. This was renovated very quickly," said the officer.

It's not like people imagine the commandant came in, punched a grenade launcher, and blew half the command. The photos that Senator Brejza published were very close. In fact, it looked like this: a tiny gap in the ground and dust – added a policeman in an interview with Onet portal.

The command staff carried out repairs without having to hire an outside company. The economical and repair department of the police was active in this task, utilizing available resources, which were originally intended for another works. According to information provided by the Onetu source, the renovation consisted of placing the applicable elements in the opening, flooded it, and exchanging panels. The officer noted that due to this approach, it is hard to find the exact costs of the full renovation.

In this regard, harm proceedings are being conducted, but are presently suspended during the prosecution proceedings. There is presently no detailed information on this issue. Nevertheless, the police officer quoted suggests that the costs of renovation do not amount to millions of zlotys, but closer to the amount of PLN 10 000 for the full process.

Last December, MP Michał Jaros of the KO organization submitted an interpelled to the head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs, Mariusz Kamiński, in connection with the incident. In his letter he asked, among others, about the legality of imports of grenade launcher in Poland, about the notification of the grenade launcher transport to the applicable authorities, procedures related to customs control, and the initiation of an investigation into the smuggling of weapons across the border.

Jaros had to wait almost 10 months to respond, even though under the Constitution the Prime Minister and ministers are obliged to respond to the Members within 21 days. The answer was not sent by Kamiński himself, but by his deputy – deputy chief of the Ministry of abroad Affairs, Maciej Wąsik. We remind you that both gentlemen have legal problems in connection with the land scandal, which the inept lawyer Andrzej Duda tried to mitigate by utilizing the law of grace in a manner contrary to the law.

In an investigation into the detonation of the grenade launcher, Gen. Jarosław Szymczyk holds the position of injured person. Just due to the fact that individual got hurt doesn't mean they're not guilty of a crime. It's hard for the general not to know what a grenade launcher is for. If he didn't know, he most likely shouldn't be chief of police. It would seem that his police cognition is that if you pull the trigger language of a weapon and the grenade launcher is simply a weapon, it will fire, especially if you unseal it. I don't know the details, but the grenade launcher definitely didn't fire himself – so commented the incidental last December by erstwhile Justice Minister Zbigniew Kuwiąkalski.
