On Saturday, the European Parliament and the associate States in the Council of the European Union agreed on the EU budget for 2026. Commitments were set at EUR 192.8 billion and payments at EUR 190.1 billion. "In a time of global instability, Europe must stay competitive, resilient and safe" commented European EP president Robert Metsol on social media.
