Sea trials began 4th with Kormoran mine destroyers. Shipowners, representatives of the Armed Forces Agency and seafarers will check for respective months how the ship behaves on water, how its systems and weapons work. If everything goes as planned, the Swallow should be in service in the fall.

Sea trials are the last phase of the ship's construction. The unit then leaves the yard and already at sea is subjected to tests to check, inter alia, the propulsion system, navigation strategy or stability. Ships are inactive in charge of the future, but sailors from the alleged skeletal crew and representatives of the national defence department are besides active in the trials.
According to the Agency for Arms, the “Jaskółka” tests have just begun. It'll last a fewer months. And if all goes according to plan, in the autumn of this year the unit should be handed over to the Navy," informs Kacper Bakula of the strategical Communications Division of the Armed Forces Agency.
“The Swallow” is another, 4th of the Kormoran II mine destroyers. The ship will be utilized to search, classify, combat, but besides to set up sea mines. It can besides be utilized to monitor underwater infrastructure.
The unit has been equipped in the full scope of submarines, a 35 mm high-speed cannon, as well as respective large caliber device guns. All weapons can be ordered through the SCOT-M combat management system. At the same time, skeletal crew members participate in all stages of the construction of the Cormorans. All this to get to know the ships that will shortly be in service," explains Lieutenant Grzegorz Lewandowski, press spokesperson for the 8th Coast Defence Fleet.
Kormorany builds a consortium composed of Gdańsk Shipbuilding Shipbuilding Refurbishment Yard, as well as the investigation and improvement Centre of the Marine Technology Centre in Gdynia and PGZ War Shipyard. presently in Gdańsk there are simultaneous work on 3 Kormorans. Shortly after Swallows to enter the line ‘Fish’ and "Chajka". Their introduction is scheduled for next year.
