According to Al Jazeera, citing Israeli public broadcaster Kan, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to retreat from the forced improvement of the judiciary giving more control over the appointment of judges. The case sparked mass protests in Israel.

That doesn't convince the people of Israel. The president of Hisstadrut, the largest Israeli trade union federation, Arnon Bar-David announced present (27.03.2023) a general strike. The demonstrators reunited in front of Parliament this morning, and as part of the protests, departures from Ben Guriona Airport were halted.
In consequence to Netanjah's call to retreat from the reform, any coalition ministers threatened to leave the government if he withdrew from the forced legislative process. This would mean the collapse of the government only 3 months after its establishment. Meanwhile, on Sunday evening, the Prime Minister himself resigned defence minister Joawa Galant due to his statements calling for a halt to the forced reform.
