The full planet is talking about Israel hitting Iran. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanjahu declared that they are "preemptive attacks" aimed at preventing Tehran from gaining atomic weapons. Israel launched attacks on Iran Friday morning, declaring that their mark was atomic and military facilities. According to Iranian media and officials, the operation was aimed, among others, at a key uranium enrichment plant in Natanz, central Iran and the site in Parchin, where atomic weapons investigation is carried out in expert opinion.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanjahu announced in a message to the nation that Iran has in fresh months begun work on utilizing enriched uranium for military purposes and has adequate of this natural material to build 9 atomic bombs. He stressed that this posed a threat to the existence of the State of Israel.
Iran's top-ranking commanders and at least six atomic energy scientists were likely killed in the attacks.
Statement by Russia
Russia is afraid and condemns the acute escalation of tensions in the mediate East - announced on Friday the Kremlin spokesperson Dmitri Pieskov, commenting on Israel's attack on Iran and the country's subsequent response. He added that Vladimir Putin is informed of events on an ongoing basis - said AFP.
In consequence to the emergence in tension in the mediate East Russian embassy in Israel appealed to Russians to refrain from travelling to this country. Moscow Times portal reported, citing a message from Russian airlines Aeroflotthat the carrier has cancelled flights to Tehran for safety reasons.
"We powerfully condemn the usage of force by the State of Israel in violation of the United Nations Charter and global law" - stated the Russian Ministry of Diplomacy, quoted by the agency Reuter. "Unprovoked military attacks on the sovereign UN associate State, its citizens, peaceful cities and atomic energy infrastructure are categorically unacceptable" - was added in the communication.
"International society cannot afford indifference to specified atrocities that destruct peace and harm regional and global security" - indicated the Russian authorities.
The Ministry has assessed that addressing concerns about Iran's atomic programme by military means cannot be effective, as diplomacy is the only way. "We call on the parties to keep restraint to prevent further escalation of tensions and the region from sinking into full-scale war" - appealed to the Ministry of abroad Affairs in Moscow.
Russia and Iran have been deepening political, economical and military cooperation for years. Tehran delivers to Kremlin, among others, kamikaze drones, which the Russian army regularly attacks civilian targets in Ukraine.
Trump reaction
"Iran cannot have an atomic bomb and we hope to return to the negotiating table. We'll see. There are respective leaders who will not return" - he said Donald Trump station reporter Bret Baier in a telephone call. He thus referred to the Israeli military commanders killed during the Israeli attack, including Chief of General Staff and Commander of the muslim Revolutionary defender Corps.
