On the night of 30 to 31 July, the Israeli army conducted 1 of the most ambitious and most complicated operations in its history. 1 night, the Israelis attacked targets in 2 mediate east capitals: Beirut and Tehran, eliminating the key formation commanders of the Proiran Axis of Resistance. Fuad Szukr, number 3 Hezbollah, died in Beirut. In Tehran, however, the head of Hamas, Isma’il Hanija, who had been targeted by Israeli services for years.
The circumstances of Hanija's assassination shocked mediate east players. The Hamas chief was eliminated in Tehran, in the heart of the muslim Republic of Iran, just hours after he met with the president of Iran and the highest leader. The elite muslim Revolution defender Corps was liable for protecting Haniji in Iran, but even he was incapable to defend the Hamas chief from Israel's long arm.
The assassination of Ismail Hanija and Fuad Szukra occurs at a delicate minute in the past of the mediate East. The Israel-Hamas war on the Gaza Strip had already become a large regional conflict between Israel and Iran a fewer months ago, which spread to Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. The mediate East resembles 1 large powder barrel that needs only a tiny spark to blow up.
Will the killing of Hamas' boss be the spark that Israel and Iran will lose any brakes and the mediate East will be on fire? Let us take a closer look at the events of fresh days and think about what is ahead.
Welcome to the special.
