"German quality" fails? The poll leaves no illusions

High quality and reliability over the years, they have distinguished German manufacturing and ‘Made in Germany’ meant solid execution. "But this image begins to fall apart," writes "Bild".

From the YouGov poll – to which the portal reached – it appears that only 34 percent of Germans asked trusts the quality of products marked with a mark "Made in Germany". The quality of specified signed products is best assessed by people aged 18-24, and 47 percent of them inactive trust them.

“Bild” recalls that the sign “Made in Germany” has a long history. Since 1887 all goods produced in Germany that went to Britain They were so marked. “If the 'Made in Germany' quality mark becomes a secondary issue, how do buyers make a decision?” he asks “Bild”.

The survey indicates that only 1 5th of the subjects pay attention to Origin of products. The most crucial criterion for purchasing decisions is price (82 percent), and right behind it is quality (80 percent). There were many answers in the survey.

They're far behind design and aesthetics – only 23 percent of respondents pay peculiar attention to them.

Issue sustainable improvement It was only in 5th place with a score of 17 percent. Nevertheless, 24 percent of respondents are willing to spend more on sustainable products.

As we read, only 16 percent of the Germans asked are willing to pay more for the products brand. In turn, half of the survey participants acknowledged that they spent more on products durable and durable.
