On 3-5 June 2025 an global conference on military and rescue activities in the mountain environment will be held in Szklarska Poręba. The event is organised by the Department of Mountain Activities of the Faculty of Command of the Academy of Land Forces. Co-organizers are NATO Mountain Warfare Centre of Excellence and the AWL advanced Training Section.
The conference will be held in a stationary form at the Lower Silesian Sports Centre in the Yakuszycka Pole. Its main nonsubjective is to exchange experiences and to analyse the contemporary and future conditions of operations in the mountains - both military and rescue.
The event will address issues related to mobility and endurance in hard terrain and low temperatures, technological innovation and their possible for usage in mountain activities, as well as modern methods of training soldiers in the advanced mountain environment.
As part of the conference, plenary sessions were planned, during which problem lectures will be given by selected experts from Poland and abroad. In addition, training workshops are provided to let you to learn about the usage of modern specialist equipment utilized in mountain conditions.
The subjects of the speeches will include:
* conditions for conducting tactical activities in the mountains and at low temperatures,
* Mountain medicine and rescue in hard terrain,
* mobility and endurance in a advanced mountain environment,
* innovative technological solutions utilized in the mountains.
