Simon Holovnia was on a short list of 3 major candidates to take the position of advanced Commissioner for Refugees. The erstwhile talker of the Sejm signed his resignation from Parliament on Thursday, and the election of his successor was scheduled for 18 November.

The resignation of Holowna from the position of talker of the Sejm will take effect on November 18th in the morning. In his place, Vladimir Czarzasty is to be elected. Hołownia himself besides announced that he would not search re-election for the position of president of the Poland 2050 Party.
