Greece: Plane transporting more than 11 tons of weapons crashed

In the northern part of Greece, close the town of Kavala (25 km west of it), there was an air accident. On the night of July 16, an AN-12 transport plane (call sign MEM 3032) crashed. The device belonged to the fleet of private carrier Meridian LTD, and 8 crew persons may have been on board (most likely to have suffered death as a consequence of the crash). All crew members were expected to be Ukrainian citizens, as indicated by the Serbian Ministry of Defence. The wreckage is secured and safety efforts are underway so that an investigation into the accident can begin.
