The Greek Ministry of defence has decided to upgrade 38 F-16 aircraft to the F-16V Viper standard. This time it will be the F-16 Block 50, delivered at the end of the last century. They will join 84 machines of newer versions that are presently being rebuilt to the “V” standard. The first 2 Greek F-16Vs are already flying and will shortly be in service. Importantly, the full process is carried out in the country, in close cooperation with the Lockheed Martin concern.
