At the marketplace Square in Ostrowc Świętokrzyski there was a military oath of volunteers completing basic training under the programme "Ferie from WOT". The words of the oath's rota were spoken by nearly 60 future soldiers of the Territorial defence Army.
On February 1, 2026, at the marketplace Square in Ostrowec Świętokrzyskie, soldiers of the 10th Świętokrzyskie Territorial Defence Brigade (Mjr. Eugeniusz Gedimina Kaszyński) took a solemn military oath. The event was the culmination of basic training, the alleged sixteen, carried out under the programme "Ferie from WOT".
The celebration began at 11:00. Nearly 60 volunteers have successfully completed basic training. Along with swearing men in the square, there were besides more than 30 soldiers finishing 8-day compensatory training, supporting younger colleagues at this crucial minute of their military road.
The task “Ferie z WOT” is aimed at students, students and teachers who decided to usage the intersemeal break to conduct military training and start service to the Republic of Poland. Among today's swearing nearly 50 percent were young people – students and students. – The household of Świętokrzyskie Territorials present is more than 2000 soldiers of the Polish Army – people ready to bring aid where it is needed. Today, students, students, teachers and educational staff are joining this family, who have devoted their free time to military training as part of the programme "Ferie from WOT" - said Colonel Sławomir Machniewicz, commander of 10 WOT.
Prior to taking the oath, soldiers completed intense 16-day basic training, starting a training cycle in the Territorial defence Army. A confirmation of the acquired skills was the final examination – the “Tactical loop” which the future territorialists passed last Friday.
After the oath, fresh soldiers will be assigned to divisions 101, 102 and 103 of the Light Infantry Battalion in Kielce, Sandomierz and Ostrowc Świętokrzyski, where they will participate in rotational training, strengthening the region's defence potential.
