As of 6 April 2023, the "Schrony" app prepared by the State Fire Department has been running. It is simply a publically available tool that allows any citizen to rapidly check where collective protection facilities are located in his area: shelters, shelters or places of temporary refuge.

The application is informative and supportive – it aims to rise public awareness of safety and prepare for emergency situations specified as natural disasters or military threats.

Three levels of protection
In the application we will find 3 types of collective protection objects, different level of protection and purpose:
Ad hoc Refuge Sites (MDS) are the simplest forms of protection to defend people from the effects of utmost weather phenomena specified as storms, screened or air trumpets. usually these are rooms in existing buildings with a solid structure (e.g. cellars), which can be protected against breaking fragments of buildings or broken trees.
Hides (U) – these are non-hermetic protective structures, equipped with basic method installations. They aim to defend individuals and property from the effects of armed or catastrophic actions operating from circumstantial directions.
Security (S) – the most advanced protective objects. These are airtight structures designed to supply full protection against all sides of the fire. The vaults have closed construction and can defend not only people, but besides equipment, material supplies and another goods.
Let us remind that on the night of Tuesday for Wednesday during the Russian Federation's attack on Ukraine, the Polish airspace was repeatedly breached by drones. On order of the operational commander of the RFA, defensive procedures were immediately launched. Those objects were shot down, which were considered the most dangerous.
