02-03-2026. fresh Sącz while continuing the celebration of the National Day of Memory of the Cursed Soldiers, we took part in the solemn Mass celebrated in the intention of the patron of our Club Fr Władysław Gurgach SJ. Fr. Gurgacz has been the patron of the Bursa of the Jesuit Priests in Nowy Sącz for many years. The boys, surviving in Bursa, prepared a very beautiful and touching verbal-music program dedicated to our common patron.
The item of the program was the memory of Bursa's resident about his grandpa Jana Klimczak, ps. “Młodzik”, who was a soldier of the “Zandarmeria” branch belonging to the Polish Underground Army of Independents operating in Beskid (wikipedia.org), whose chaplain was Fr. Gurgacz.
After the Mass and the music program, we went to the plaque of Fr Gurgach, which is located on the Bursa building, where flowers and lit candles were laid. Then we went to the Bursa building where we had a wonderful meal waiting for us and where we could talk to its residents.
