Former military GROM on TVP Info commented on Karol Nawrocki's reaction to Donald Trump's latest words about the participation of allies in the war in Afghanistan. The American president in 1 of the last interviews reduced NATO's involvement, suggesting that their soldiers "holding back" and did not take on the main burden of fighting. In Poland, where a full of 44 soldiers were killed in missions and almost 1000 returned with permanent wounds and trauma, specified words caused apparent outrage.
In his first reaction, president Nawrocka spoke of Trump's "unfortunate" or "wrong" statements, while stressing the heroism of Polish soldiers. specified a expression – mild to Washington politics and at the same time full of warm words about veterans – did not like the quail.
– In soldierish: I am annoyed by how politicians talk about awkwardness, just as you were polite to say now, due to the fact that it is awkward to fart during dinner – he said straight on the air.
In his opinion Trump's words were not any diplomatic lapsus, but a real cheek aimed at people who risked their lives under the Polish flag.
"Mr President, we don't request to be reminded of heroism"
In the next part of the speech, Quail went from general criticism to direct appeal to Karol Nawrocki. Veteran GROM stressed that the soldiers' environment does not request a lesson on valor from the president – he more expects a hard reaction to the policy that this bravery questions.
“On the another hand, the president [...] spoke about the heroism of Polish soldiers. Mr President, this is an appeal to president Nawrocki. We don't request to be reminded of this. We know that Polish soldiers who participated in missions, or Iraq, or Afghanistan, or anywhere else, due to the fact that there were definitely more of these missions, they are heroes. all soldier who's been on a mission is simply a hero. There is no point in reminding about it, there is no request for it," he said.
He then pointed out what he lacked in the presidential response: direct public opposition to Trump's words, as another Western leaders did.
– This situation had to be told to president Trump, to remind him openly, as the Prime Minister of large Britain did, or yet the favourite of president Trump, Giorgia Meloni. She said it clearly. And of course Trump should be spoken in his language. (...) This is simply a narcissist who needs splendour, needs gadgets, and he truly cares about the weak," said the Quail, referring to the sharper statements of any Western politicians towards the American leader.
"Then the soldiers died and you got wasted with kibols"
The strongest part of the message has not yet been made. Veteran GROM went from political analysis to impact on the president's biography. He did it truly hard.
– An appeal to the president, too. While soldiers were dying in Iraq, the Lord was drunk with kibols in the woods, so I think a small respect for the Polish soldier, due to the fact that we're not just talking about those who died. This is simply a tragedy. There were almost a 1000 soldiers who were injured, permanently injured during these missions," said the Quail.
This is simply a direct mention to Karol Nawrocki's "kibolic past" described repeatedly in the media. Even before becoming head of state, journalists reminded him of his participation in the celebrated law under Gdańsk in 2009, erstwhile groups of pseudo-kibites Lechia Gdańsk and Lech Poznań clashed. The investigation featured names of persons associated with organised crime, and the prosecutor said explicitly that it was 1 of the most celebrated statutes in Poland.
In the presidential run Nawrocki attempted to turn this episode into a communicative of "difficult youth" and "drawing conclusions". Now, however, that communicative returns in a completely different context – compared to the victims of military missions, it is intended to be, in the intention of Quail, a counterpoint to today's function as Nawrocki as the head of the armed forces.
