Former French president Starts Wearing Electronic Bracelet: 'Still Questions Verdict'

Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy has been wearing an electronic bracelet since Friday, in line with a court ruling that convicted him of corruption and influence peddling. It is the first time in France that specified a surveillance measurement has been applied to a erstwhile head of state. The politician's defence attorney, Jacqueline Laffont, said Friday that Sarkozy "continues to challenge the verdict."
