First anniversary of Sergeant Mateusz Sitek's death. "He gave his life defending the border"

Friday marks the first anniversary of the death of Sergeant Mateusz Sitek from the 1st Warsaw Armoured Brigade, who died after being stabbed by a migrant while serving on the border with Belarus. The ceremonies commemorating the 21-year-old included Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. The sergeant was besides remembered by president Andrzej Duda. Soldiers and border guards paid tribute to the deceased soldier besides at the site where the attack took place a year ago.
