Feast of the Epiphany. Is it essential to go to church and keep the fast?

January 6, the feast of the Epiphany, besides known in Poland as the feast of the 3 Kings, is 1 of the most crucial events in the liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church. This vacation has both a rich spiritual and cultural tradition. But are the faithful obliged to attend mass and fast on this day?
