PARIS- Bombardier announced that its flagship Global 7500 aircraft established a new speed record during a flight from Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) in Montreal to Paris-Le Bourget Airport (LBG).
The business jet exceeded 1,000 km/hr during the journey and completed the Montreal-to-Paris route in just 5 hours and 30 minutes!

Bombardier Global 7500 New Speed Record
The record-setting flight occurred as Bombardier prepared to host customers at the International Paris Air Show, where Bombardier Defence anchored the company’s presence.
The achievement adds to the Global 7500’s expanding collection of aviation records, which recently surpassed 100 documented accomplishments.
Éric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier, emphasised the aircraft’s practical performance capabilities. He stated that the Global 7500 performs at the highest levels across all metrics in real-world situations.
Martel highlighted that Bombardier takes pride in completing meaningful speed records during regular day-to-day operations while carrying passengers, baggage, and cargo, distinguishing it from competitor aircraft.
The CEO also referenced the upcoming Global 8000 aircraft, scheduled for entry into service later this year. He also noted that the Global 7500 continues demonstrating superiority in smooth ride quality, performance metrics, and landing capabilities.

Recent Achievement
The latest speed record follows the Global 7500’s recent reclaim of the Paris-to-Montreal speed record, completed in less than 6 hours just weeks earlier. The aircraft previously established the record for the longest mission ever flown by a purpose-built business jet, covering 8,225 nautical miles non-stop from Sydney (SYD) to Detroit (DTW).
These consecutive achievements underscore Bombardier’s commitment to innovation and excellence in aviation technology. The company continues building on its reputation for pushing performance boundaries in business aviation.

Advanced Designs
The Global 7500 offers a maximum range of 7,700 nautical miles, specifically designed for unmatched long-haul travel capabilities. The aircraft features a spacious and refined cabin that allows customization to suit individual customer preferences and requirements.
The interior incorporates four distinct living spaces, including a full-size kitchen, providing comprehensive comfort and convenience for extended flights. State-of-the-art connectivity options and ergonomic seating create an optimal environment for both productivity and relaxation, ensuring passengers arrive refreshed and prepared for business activities.
