Soldiers under the auspices of the European Union are moved to the site in a short time to prevent the escalation of tensions – this is how the EU's fast consequence forces are to operate. On 1 January, the command of a combat group composed mainly of Germans was taken over by Eurocorpus, headed by General Piotr Błazeusz.

These groups are expected to respond to crises that endanger the stableness of the continent. Eurocorpus was created in 1992 and became 1 of the symbols of the EU's military aspirations. global command is capable of commanding EU forces, but besides combined low-scale operations conducted by NATO. So far, Eurocorpus has participated in a number of abroad missions: from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Afghanistan. His soldiers commanded the Afghan mission of ISAF, and respective times besides headed the NATO consequence Force's terrestrial component.
