Bad news from the European Parliament A resolution has just been passed, which opens the way for the abolition of the right of veto for Poland in key decisions of the European Union!
It is an absolute scandal that it was supported by Euro MPs from the Left and Poland2050 (Robert Biedron, Joanna Scheering-Wielgus and Michał Kobosko) who voted straight against Poland. Shame and shame!
Under the guise of organization reforms and preparations for EU enlargement, Eurocrats are again trying to do what has not been done before – take distant the remnants of national sovereignty and make a superstate managed from Brussels from the EU. See for yourselves what this resolution implies:
- the elimination of the rule of unanimity in the Council – that is, the deprivation of Poland's right of veto in the most crucial matters.
- Strengthening the competences of the European Commission at the expense of national states and making the Court of Justice of the EU a political arbitrator in the case of alleged "burdens".
- increasing the EU budget by moving distant from the informal rule of 1% of GDP and making payments dependent on a " regulation of law assessment", i.e. on the political pressures of Brussels.
- to introduce Treaty changes to centralise the EU and to permanently limit associate States' sovereignty.
A call for action following the disgraceful EP resolution of 22 November 2023 on the launch of the Treaty improvement procedure, in peculiar the decision-making process in the EU and the transfer of a number of key competences to the European Commission, making it an institution called the "European Executive Body" of a deep commune.
All this under the pretext of preparing for the admission of fresh countries, but the real goal is clear – to make a centralised, bureaucratic superstate where decisions are made above the heads of nations.
