Easter 2025 is coming in large steps, and with it a conventional buying frenzy. Despite persistent inflation, many Poles plan Christmas shopping, although with greater care than in erstwhile years. According to the latest studies, 29.1% respondents declare that they will go buying a week before Christmas, which means that the next weekend will be crucial for retail.
Increase in food prices by 6.7% Compared to March last year , consumers are more likely to plan spending and look for savings . The biggest increases were recorded for fatty products, fruit and non-alcoholic beverages, while bulky articles were sunk.
Saving strategies: where do Poles cut spending?
Close 46% Poles plan to reduce their spending on Easter this year compared to the erstwhile year . Savings are mostly for alcohol (38.8%), Easter decorations (34.1%) and foodstuffs (33.6%) .
Nevertheless, many consumers are inactive planning crucial spending on Christmas shopping. average 15.6% respondents intend to devote to Easter food from 200 to 300 zł per person, which, in the case of a household of four, means expenditure of the order 800-1200 zł .

Stores ready to storm, but is that enough?
Retail is expecting increased traffic this weekend. Although shops prepare larger quantities of goods, temporary shortages in supply are possible, especially in popular discounts. Consumers should be prepared for longer queues and possible inconveniences.
Easter 2025 will be a test for Polish households and retail. Despite the hard economical situation, Poles do not quit conventional Christmas shopping, although they approach them with greater consideration. Stores request to be prepared for increased traffic and supply adequate supplies to meet client expectations.
