Mateusz Morawiecki evasively answers questions about the resignation of the Minister of Agriculture. "Several companies of political prowess, which I will not mention here, collect grain, which adds to the problem of farmers" - said the Prime Minister. In the morning Henryk Kowalczyk warmed up emotions around Ukrainian grain flooding Poland. The tense situation will be the subject of talks with Volodymyr Zelenski.

The crisis with Ukrainian grain flooding Poland continues. The rulers were warned earlier by the market, farmers and opposition, but completely ignored all signals.

"I had many advisors. In June, they said, "Let's keep the grain due to the fact that it's starving. This problem could have been predicted, but the EU's erstwhile declaration to make the solidarity corridors for which I was waiting" - explained the Minister of Agriculture and agrarian improvement in Polsat News in the morning.

Henry Kowalczyk defended the decision of his ministry, and he blamed it on... the farmers themselves.

I already told you, I'm sorry they didn't realize the intention of my speech.. At harvest time, grain should not be sold in a panicky way, due to the fact that the price falls, and I did not say that after the harvest it does not apply - said the PiS politician.

"The full disgrace of Kowalczyk, who did not gotta sale cereals now claims that farmers are so stupid that they didn't realize him due to the fact that he meant something else. I am afraid to think what we have not yet understood in the message of the Law and Justice" - the leader of AgroUnion responded immediately. Michał Kołodziejczak accuses the ruling spying on the striking farmers.

Szczecin corked

13th day in a row besides protest trade unionists in Szczecin, blocking the entry of tractors to the Provincial Office in Wała Chrobry. From 11 to 16 they plan to pass through the main arteries of the capital of Western Pomerania. "The jaw will be jammed today, and we didn't want that. We've been waiting for the second week and no 1 from the government has arranged to meet us. We are waiting all the time" - said the president of the farmers' protest Stanisław Barna.

The atmosphere around the Minister of Agriculture thickens. As Interia established, during the gathering of the "PKP" (presidium of the political committee of PiS - ed.) there was a discussion about how to solve the problem with Ukrainian grain, including the resignation of Henryk Kowalczyk. The decision has not yet been made. The Prime Minister commented.

.@Kowalczyk_H In @Graphiti_PN: The subject of grain was discussed yesterday at the Bureau @pisorgpl On Novgorod. @marcinfijolek: Did you get a signal from JK that this was the last chance game for you in the minister's chair? @Kowalczyk_H: We do not talk in these categories. pic.twitter.com/oIDHtn3cK8

"Personal decisions are worked out in agreement with the political body, only then will they be communicated" - the head of the government responded technocraticly to the question about the resignation of Kowalczyk. Mateusz Morawiecki assured that the substance was absolutely top precedence for him.

Prime Minister: I meet farmers

"I will not let our relations with Ukraine, grain imports, its re-export to destabilise the market. It is besides actual that the situation is linked to prices on planet markets. I'm besides asking everyone for a moment. There are already 5 or six times less transports, they go all the time in transit. It is not that the ministry does nothing" - added the Prime Minister.

Morawiecki evasively referred to the proposition of visiting protesters. "I meet farmers all moment, just look at my calendar. This is simply a very crucial problem. I hope that the proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture will enter into force and relieve tensions on the agricultural market" - said the politician. The subject of exports of Ukrainian collections will appear during Volodymyr Zelenski's visit to Poland.
