The president of the United States decided to comment on the painting on Sunday evening. He said that many people Colorado “written and called” with a complaint.
The author of the image is Sara Boardman. Trump in her entry pointed out that the artist had previously painted Barack Obama and seemingly the erstwhile work fell into the taste of the current president.

Trump noted that politician Colorado Jared Polis should remove the mural. He added that the people of the state are "excited" and that the politician is simply a "radically leftist" and "should be ashamed".
