In 2027 it will be 30 years since the adoption of the current Constitution of Poland. On 15 December, at the University of Warsaw, the first of a series of meetings on selected aspects of the functioning of the Polish Basic Law is held. The debate is attended by erstwhile president Aleksander Kwasniewski, talker of the Polish Parliament Vladimir Czarzasta, erstwhile judges of the Constitutional Court and authorities of the University of Warsaw.
– I am very glad that the University of Warsaw can supply a platform for discussion and exchange of views on essential issues. During my abroad trips I frequently hear that Poland is indicated as a country with a well-developed economy and entrepreneurship. This is mostly due to the people participating in today's debate, including president Alexander Kwasniewski," said Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw.
Many representatives of the planet of politics, law and discipline gathered in the Old Library on the Main Campus of the University of Warsaw, including erstwhile president Aleksander Kwasniewski, talker of the Polish Parliament Vladimir Czarzasty, Deputy Marshal of the legislature of the Republic of Poland Magdalena Biejat, erstwhile judges of the Constitutional Tribunal Prof. Ewa Łętowska and Prof. Mirosław Wyrzykowski, as well as parliamentarians and experts on constitutional issues.
The authorities of the University of Warsaw represent among others: Rector Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of Cooperation and Workers Affairs Prof. Sambor Grucz, Chancellor Robert Grey, prof. Katarzyna Kołodziejczyk, Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences and global Studies.
The organizers of the event are: Aleksandra Kwasniewski Foundation "Amicus Europae", Gabriel Narutowicz Institute of Political thought and CISM UW.
The foundation of the system
The first part of the debate was attended by erstwhile president Aleksander Kwasniewski and erstwhile judges of the Constitutional Court Prof. Mirosław Wyrzykowski and Prof. Ewa Łętowska, referring to the past of the adoption of the fresh Constitution and the legal and systemic aspects of the fundamental law.
Speaker of the Polish Parliament Włodzimierz Czarzasty, Deputy Marshal of the Polish legislature Magdalena Biejat, erstwhile Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland Waldemar Pawlak, associate of the State Election Commission, erstwhile Minister of the Interior Ryszard Kalisz and erstwhile Minister of Justice Prof. Jerzy Jaskiernia will besides take the level during the discussion.
