Dear, ineffective, harmful! The medicine on Covid-19 will no longer be funded by the Ministry of Health

On Monday (27.03.2023) spokesperson for the Ministry of wellness Wojciech Andrusiewicz reported that the ministry would no longer finance the acquisition of the medicine utilized in infirmary treatment of patients from Covid-19. An analysis of the 10 global studies on the effectiveness of this medicine, which Minister Adam Sundzielski commissioned the Agency for the Protection of Medical Technology and Tarification, showed that the usage of remdesivir did not affect the reduced mortality of the treated people. It has no or very small effect on patients with average to severe Covid-19.

Why is it only now that the Minister of Sunday withdraws from backing a drug that is ineffective? After all, as early as November 2020, the European Association of Intense Therapy medicine (ESICM – a prestigious medical association bringing together specialists from over 120 countries) reported that it would retreat its advice for remdesivir, advising against its regular usage in Covid-19 treatment due to the fact that the WHO commissioned a survey on the effectiveness of this medicine, conducted in 2020 in 405 hospitals in 30 countries, showed no clear affirmative effects of its use. Moreover, the CEO of ESICM Jozef Kesecioglu warned that remdesivir could be harmful to the kidneys.

If you don't know what's going on, it's always about money. Remdesivir is ineffective and can be harmful, but it is expensive. Despite the results of the WHO study, indicating the ineffectiveness of remdesivir, Poland signed an agreement in October 2020 with the drug maker to supply 80,000 doses. This order cost about PLN 120 million. In March 2021, Minister Niedzielski announced the acquisition of another organization of remdesivir. After 2 years, which was in March 2023, the ministry yet admitted that the drug was ineffective and would no longer finance its purchase. Millions of gold were wasted and the maker of the ineffective drug made a fortune.

It is worth reminding who pushed the administration of remdesivir to Polish patients from Covid-19 despite the consequence of a survey indicating its ineffectiveness. It was prof. Robert Flisiak, head of the Polish Society of Epidemiologists and Doctors of Infectious Diseases and prof. Andrzej Horban, national consultant on infectious diseases. Both announced that the WHO survey was unbelievable and the drug would proceed to be used.

What was the opinion of both professors? Did they truly believe in the effectiveness of remdesivir? It is no secret that Prof. Flisiak worked with the maker of remdesivir, an American company of Gilead. The Foundation for discipline improvement founded by Prof. Horban besides received money from this company. erstwhile asked during the interview on Radio Zet whether Gilead had contributed over PLN 1,300,000 to the foundation in 2016-2029, Horban replied: “I don’t know. I am not following the foundation.”

Interestingly, the ineffectiveness of remdesivir was confirmed by the Polish survey of 2021, which aimed to check the effectiveness of amantadine in infirmary C19 treatment. The ineffectiveness of remdesivir was found to be ‘on the occasion’. The investigation results were announced on February 11, 2022. Prof. Adam Barczyk of the advanced Silesian Medical Center in Katowice then reported that in infirmary treatment, “not only amantadine had no effect, but besides remdesivir”.

What was the reaction of the Ombudsman, Bartłomiej Chmielowc? He immediately banned the usage of amantadine, but remdesivir remained on the list of medicines recommended to treat Covid-19.

Thus, for 2 and a half years, Polish hospitals have been utilizing road and ineffective therapy, giving patients with C19 a medicine that is harmful to the kidneys recommended by people with a clear conflict of interest. It is worth recalling that the conflict of interest occurred not only in the case of costly and ineffective remdesivir. Members of the Women's Medical Council were besides sponsored by vaccine manufacturers at C19.

To sum up, who was to earn, earned, and who was to die, died. That's how business is done on human health. You'll read in my book about how the business was done. “Covid ghettos”.
