Polish veterinary services are on constant alert due to the detection of an outbreak of foot-and-mouth illness in Hungary - informs the Ministry of Agriculture and agrarian improvement after an extraordinary meeting. As of Friday, meat from that country cannot enter our country. The ministry is waiting for decisions to be made in Brussels on this matter. This is the first case of foot-and-mouth illness in Hungary since 1973.
