“Leave us alone” – Greenlanders have had adequate journalists

Greenland is experiencing a media siege she wasn't ready for. In the capital, the doors of the houses featured cards addressed to journalists, on which there is simply a crossed microphone and a request not to ask questions. This is simply a reaction from the residents to a abrupt media raid from around the planet after Donald Trump's re-announced announcements about taking over the island.

The capital of Greenland – Nuuk – has only 20,000 inhabitants. The only large hotel in town is filled with crews of abroad editorial offices. Reporters double and triple to take the locals “on the go” during a very short day. They usually meet with refusals – residents just want to be calm, and talking to the media is not desirable for them.

In turn, the Nuuk authorities and the Greenland government explain an extraordinary situation and a deficiency of time. Greenland University admits that it does not keep up with answering questions from around the world.
