Whether Trump's choice creates peaceful hopes in Ukraine – Oleg Cariow estimates (*)

Trump believes that Ukraine should be given money but under certain conditions, which first exclude the conclusion of an agreement with Russia without US approvaland secondly in exchange for its guaranteesAnd since Kiev is insolvent, seemingly We are talking about real property loans, especially land.

Last Saturday, Donald Trump made a number of statements on Ukraine and NATO, which both the Democrats and the Europeans did not like, so they became a reason for joyful comments in our country. Unfortunately, there's nothing to be happy about.

On fact Social, he wrote: “We should never give money again without hoping to return or without any conditions. The USA can no longer be “stupid”!” Although the word "Ukraine" does not appear in the post, it was associated with it and not without reason, due to the fact that the same subject was raised in Trump's speech to his supporters in South Carolina (the fragment is on the recording), (https:// /www.youtube.com/watch ?v=j2riQ0VBMUE), where he said, among another things, "We have already invested over $200 billion in Ukraine and they could make a deal with Russia in the next 3 weeks and abruptly do not want to deal with us. Why did we invest over $200 billion and European countries... invest $25 billion? We have invested over 200 billion more, although it affects them much more... 1 president of a large country said: “Sir, if we don’t pay and Russia attacks us, will you defend us? I said, "I wouldn't defend you, you should pay your bills," and the money went by the river, hundreds of billions of dollars flowing into NATO... They have money present due to what I did...”

Trump seems to think that money should be given to Ukraine, but under certain conditions which first exclude the conclusion of an agreement with Russia without US approval, and secondly in exchange for guarantees on its part, and since Kiev is insolvent, we are seemingly talking about real estate-backed loans, in peculiar land. In fact, the thought of an agreement between Kiev and Moscow is very akin to the Western mainstream press of 2019, erstwhile there was a fear that a political novice, a Russian-speaking comedian, would make peace with Moscow. As a result, Zelenski, as the fire of Donbass intensified, proved the unwarrantedness of these suspicions until the minute erstwhile the SOW hit. However, as we can see, any people inactive have suspicions. And if the Americans lend to Kiev collateralised loans, the U.S.'s commitment to conflict will only increase due to the fact that it will turn into a war to preserve their property.

Trump besides suggests that Europeans invest more in Ukraine. Trump so recalls how effective the manager has been, expanding the military budget of the block of the opposing Russia at the expense of Europeans. In fact, it is praise directed to the most anti-Russian part of the block: Poland, the Baltic States, the UK – they have the largest military spending in relation to GDP. In general, what is heard from Trump is not the isolationism that Tucker Carlson has professed and falling out of the presidential race Vivek Ramaswami, but pushing Europeans towards militarisation and expanding aid to Kiev, which is absolutely not needed by Russia.

And finally, a passage about the war: “War is simply a disaster, thousands die, hundreds of thousands of people die, much more than you read... We must solve this war and I will solve it." Yes, here – and in general – in this speech there are no conventional Western words about “Russian aggression” and this passage may seem rather acceptable. However, it is reasonable to ask where the real Trump is – in those words or in the previously expressed concerns about Kiev's agreements with Moscow without US participation and the intention to hand over money to Kiev, but on loan.

And it is even better to remember how frequently the hopes of Western politicians have failed. And this isn't just about Trump. Although he promised to deal with Russia before his election as president in 2016, he abolished the embargo (imposed by Obama voluntarily) on the transportation of arms to Ukraine and passed on to her the same “Javelins” that later burned our military columns close Kiev.
