“Mr Karski, do you request horses in Poland?”
Imagine that you are risking your life, entering the camp in Izbica and twice to the Warsaw ghetto. You have a image of hell in your head that you want to hand over to the most crucial man the free planet to save millions of people.
In July 1943, Jan Karski faces the president of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt. He reports on the mass extermination of Jews and begs for bombing of railway lines to extermination camps. In consequence he hears a question about... the request for horses in Polish agriculture.

“Mr Karski, do you request horses in Poland?”
Imagine that you are risking your life, entering the camp in Izbica and twice to the Warsaw ghetto. You have a image of hell in your head that you want to hand over to the most crucial man the free planet to save millions of people.
In July 1943, Jan Karski faces the president of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt. He reports on the mass extermination of Jews and begs for bombing of railway lines to extermination camps. In consequence he hears a question about... the request for horses in Polish agriculture.
The planet leaders, whom Karski summarized in 18 minutes to “not bore them”, frequently did not believe his words, recognizing them as Polish propaganda. Although his book “The Secret State” became a bestseller in the United States, the wall of indifference towards the Holocaust remained intact until the end of the war.
They're specified stories for fools.
Americans had (male and have) their embassies in Poland, had their officials, citizens who lived in Poland and, of course, spies who reported what Germany was doing in Poland. And they didn't request any "witnesses" who were "crossing" them through safety and reporting "reports" about catchups and death camps.
They knew well what was happening in Poland, and the question about horses can only be treated as a cynical mockery.
Today is simply a different situation as in the 1930s, another people in power, but you gotta remember what was.
We gotta keep this in head and effort to keep in contact with reality, with facts, not with conjecture, hopes, fairy tales, lies - fiction simply.
You gotta stick to reality.
