During the election run before the US presidential election in 2024 Donald Trump repeatedly assured that if he wins, he would end the war on Ukraine “in 1 day” or “in 24 hours”. After taking office, this word expanded to 100 days, and now these promises no longer matter, due to the fact that the conflict continues.
Only in fresh weeks something has moved – Russian president Vladimir Putin met Trump in Alaska, and a fewer days later the US leader hosted the White home of Volodymyr Zelenski. It is worth noting that during the gathering with Zelenski – although accompanied by a full group of European leaders – there was no typical of the Republic. Neither Prime Minister Donald Tusk nor president Karol Nawrocki were invited to Washington. What does that mean for our relationship?
In 1 of SW Research's latest investigation respondents were asked, whether Poles can trust U.S. president Donald Trump on safety issues?
As it turns out, most of the respondents are not trusted with the United States leader. Nearly half (49.1%) of respondents estimated that we should not trust him in the issue of security. 28.9 percent of respondents are opposed, and 22 percent of respondents have not expressed an opinion on this issue.
The survey was conducted on a nationwide example of 823 adults on 19-20 August 2025 by SW investigation utilizing the CAWI method.
