What is the Church Fund?

This year, the Kościelny Fund was allocated PLN 275.7 million from the state budget, most of which – PLN 264 million – will absorb the payment of social safety and wellness contributions to clergymen, PLN 10 million — preservation of sacral monuments, and PLN 1 million — charitable and caring activities of spiritual communities. It is presently utilized by 189 Churches and another spiritual unions with regulated legal position in ‍Poland.

Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz has been head of the interministerial squad for the Church Fund since the beginning of 2024.
