The Roem Artillery strategy is simply a further test by the Israel defence Force, a structure placed on the chassis of a truck Oshkosh 10x10 with armored crew compartment, which is intended to replace respective 100 older types of caterpillar M109 Doher. The implementation of the fresh wheel solution is intended not only to let for a crucial increase in the capacity of Israeli artillerymen to fire, but besides to reduce operating costs. During its usage by the Israel defence Force, the vehicle's field courage was verified and the main strategy was tested, as well as combat shooting was carried out. The first operational copy was given the name “Thunder” and is most likely a symbol of Israeli artillerymen moving to structures with a much longer barrel cord (L52 versus L39).
