Call for deeper reforms and openness to development

During his visit to Guangdong, president Xi Jinping called for further deepening of reforms and a stronger beginning of the country to the world. He stressed that the improvement of the large Gulf of Guangdong–Hongkong–Macau, which, in his opinion, should become 1 of the main engines of Chinese modernization, would be the key direction.

Xi, besides serving as Secretary General of the Communist organization of China and Head of the Central Military Commission, spoke of this during a two-day inspection in the confederate province. He pointed out that "high quality of development" is simply a precedence present and can only be achieved through consistent reforms, wider open markets and stricter standards of intra-party governance.

In his opinion, these actions are intended to give China a fresh impetus in the modernisation process — and, as is usually the case in the mediate State, it is best to start with the confederate gate of the country.
