The celebrations of 177th anniversary of the Hungarian national uprising in Budapest were organised by the ruling Fidesz party, the leader of which is Orban. In the beginning, the Prime Minister said how crucial it is to celebrate the anniversary and then went through issues related to his political agenda.
He estimated that "the future belongs, not to imperialists, but to patriots." As he stated, “the soul of the Hungarians is freedom” and they are now fighting for “the soul of the Western world.”
Orban argued that as in 1848. Hungarians had to fight the Habsburg Empire, so now they face Brussels. — The Empire wants to mix and then replace the indigenous people of Europe with masses of invaders from alien civilizations. He wants to distract the generation of our children and grandchildren from a healthy order of creation towards unnatural chaos," said the Prime Minister of Hungary.
He one more time tried to convince that Hungary had built the only patriotic national economy in Europe that allowed the country to last despite 3 years of war beyond its east border.
Orban appeals to his countrymen. The referendum on Ukraine
The Prime Minister besides called on the Hungarians to argue Ukraine's entry into the European Union in the planned referendum. "The rulers of Europe have decided that Ukraine must proceed the war, regardless of the cost, and in return it will receive a fast EU membership – for our money," he said.
At the end of the speech, Orban hit the opposition, saying that “the worm survived the winter.” According to him, politicians, judges and journalists who “past an empire cart” for money were bribed with “corrupt dollars”. “We are just sick of them,” he said.
Voices of opposition at Orban's rally
Although only authorized persons and selected media were allowed to attend the gathering with Orban, whistles and shouts of opposition could be heard during his speech. Two people were forcibly removed from the podium. About 20 people protested against the Prime Minister.

Poles participated in the fighting on the Hungarian side, including General Józef Bem, who commanded troops in 7 yards and Banata.
